The Ants in Ridge's Pants

We are back on the potty train wagon. I'm sorry to post so much potty talk, but it's cracking me up. Here's our conversation yesterday at Nana's house:

R: MOM! I have to go potty now!
Me: Oh no, did you already have an accident?
R: NO, but the ants are pushing the doo doo out!
Me: Okay, let's hurry to the potty.

My son is so funny in the way he thinks about things. . . so the conversation continues once he is actually on the potty. Of course his head is down watching the action, and this is the first time he has done #2 on the potty.

R: Mommy! Da ants just pushed a really long snake out!
Me: Good job Ridge.
R: OH mommy! Two long snakes! Ya think dey will bite me??
Me: no honey. You are doing such a great job.

Nana walks in and explains to Ridge that it is his body doing the work, not ants

R: hmmm okay. So if it my body den my tee tee have a puncher and punch the doo doo out. That right mommy? Does it punch it out?? Like dis mommy! uhhh, uhhh, pow (he is acting it out as if in a boxing ring)

While washing hands he says:

R: Mommy, da soap says, "ewwww, dat stinky!" It don't like cleaning the doo doo hands.

Later that day:
Me: Ridge you are so cute, I could just eat you!
R: Oh mommy, you can't do that
Me: Why not?
R: I too hard to eat. And den I be all gone.

So glad Haley was born.

I know, I know. I should have posted this on Wednesday, July 14th. That date, every year, is very special in our house because it's Haley's birthday.

I am a blessed man to be married to her. She loves me so well. Our kids adore and love their mom, but even they don't know how good they have it.

It's kind of a weird thing to say, but it's true... Haley, I'm so glad you were born.
